My family often vacationed in Ortley Beach at the Jersey Shore, during September, just after Labor Day. The season was ideal, much calmer and less crowded. One particular September evening after sunset, we were treated to the full Harvest Moon rising over the ocean. The lighting and shadows in this piece give it the feel of a painting.
