In Shanghai Tower Above the Clouds and Under Construction, I was staying at the hotel located in the Jinmao Tower in Shanghai (tallest building in China from 1998-2007). The adjacent and newly constructed Shanghai Tower (which became the tallest building in China upon completion) broke through the thick layer of clouds below, ascending into the deep blue sky. As I was Crossing Columbus Avenue at Dusk on a warm evening at the end of October, the New York City sky seemed to radiate heat.
