In Shanghai Tower Above the Clouds and Under Construction, I was staying at the hotel located in the Jinmao Tower in Shanghai (tallest building in China from 1998-2007). The adjacent and newly constructed Shanghai Tower (which became the tallest building in China upon completion) broke through the thick layer of clouds below, ascending into the deep blue sky.
