I spent three spring days in Ljubljana rain, which started several days before I arrived and continued after I departed. The rain added to the feeling of lushness, with several varieties of flowering trees decorating the scenic and historical Breg Embankment. The Ljubljana Castle, a medieval fortress, rises in the background from its perch on Castle Hill.
