This is the second of two pieces from Vall de Nuria in Catalunya, Spain. Traveling from Barcelona, I took a regional train to Ribes de Freser and transferred to the Nuria Track Railway. The rack railway is the only way to reach the remote Vall de Nuria, which was quite cold even in May and still experiencing snow. Walking back to my hotel after dinner on the Left Bank with friends, the sun was setting late on a warm May evening. I stopped on Pont Louis-Phillippe to enjoy the sunset, and to watch the revelers on riverboats doing the same. Sunset Cruisers on the Seine in Paris
