Madrid is one of my favorite cities in the world. When I find myself there, I enjoy embarking on at least one excursion outside of the city. Toledo, a short train ride away, boasts a rich historical tapestry woven into its stunning architecture. Climbing the bell tower at the Church of San Ildefonso is a must. Here, the entire city unfolds before you in breathtaking panorama. This piece features a view of the Alcazar against the backdrop of a milky white sky. A former Roman palace, it was rebuilt and restored several times, most recently after experiencing significant damage during the Spanish Civil War.
