Bukhara’s Poi Kalyan Complex on a Hot, Dusty Day
$549.00
Parching desert winds blew through Bukhara during an afternoon visit to the Poi Kalyan complex. The ancient complex contains a mosque, minaret and madrasa. Initially constructed in the 1120s, most of the original complex was destroyed by Genghis Khan and his army in 1220, and rebuilt in the early 1500s. The original minaret still stands.
