Driving Through the Monte Desert to Aconcagua

$99.00$329.00

Driving through the Monte Desert to Aconcagua base camp, we traversed this striking Argentine landscape on a road that paralleled the winding Mendoza River, a lifeline in an otherwise arid expanse. The Monte Desert, with its rugged terrain and sparse vegetation, stretches across western Argentina, creating a dramatic contrast to the towering Andes ahead.

Aconcagua is the highest peak in both the Southern and Western Hemispheres.  Base camp sits at approximately 14,000 feet, where the thin air makes every step a challenge. The summit soars to 22,838 feet, drawing climbers from around the world to test their endurance against its unforgiving altitude and weather.
