“Grand Canyon 2 – Frozen in Formation” –  Captured near the start of my hike along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, this image was taken at Trailview Overlook. The granite formations reminded me of dollops of frozen soft-serve ice cream—shaped by time, yet playfully sculptural. The title reflects that duality: a nod to both the sweet visual metaphor and the geological truth that these structures are, quite literally, frozen in time—etched by the slow, relentless forces of nature.
