Hiking in the Pyrenees near Vall de Nuria (Spain)

Traveling from Barcelona, I took a regional train to Ribes de Freser and transferred to the Nuria Rack Railway.   The rack railway is the only way to reach the remote Vall de Nuria, which was quite cold even in May and still experiencing snow.  The area is primarily known for skiing, and the railway terminates at the ski lodge.  In spring, it’s a base to hike in the surrounding mountains, though the trails can still be slippery with snow and ice.  In this piece, I hiked up a trail to capture a view of the lodge nestled by towering green mountains that were glazed with a bit of snow.

The price listed is for a 16″ x 20″ limited edition print with a simple black frame, and is inclusive of delivery by USPS or UPS ground.  Each image in the edition is signed and numbered on the rear of the print, with the print number in the edition followed by the total size of the edition (25).  Custom framing and/or larger sizes are available upon request, at different price points, and may require longer for delivery.  Please use the “Contact Us” link for custom requests.
