The Black Stupa of Samye – Tibet’s Oldest Monastery
$549.00
Departing from Lhasa, we drove along the Yarlung Tsangpo, Tibet’s longest river, arriving at Samye a couple hours later. The Samye Monastery was the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet. This piece features the monastery’s Black Stupa (representing Nirvana), with greenery along the river and the barren Himalayas in the background.
