When I visit Washington, I enjoy my runs along the Mall and around the Tidal Basin at dusk, with twilight gently descending. On one particular evening, I paused to capture this captivating image of the monument. The setting sun cast a warm, golden glow upon the monument’s western side, while simultaneously painting the eastern sky with an intriguing palette of colors.
